This story was written in 15 minutes time and is pretty impressive for 15 minutes! Enjoy!!!
Lines. Lines are always annoying, especially if you want to get something over and done with. Lines always lead to something. It’s either fun or boring. The majority of the the lines I’ve lined up in were boring like lines to get into the supermarket or lines to get out of the chocker-block school carpark. But every once in a while, you’ve got to have fun, right? So, i stand corrected, not all lines are annoying, especially if you are standing in one for the GREATEST thrill of your life, such as one of the biggest rollercoasters I’ve ever seen…
We were at the Gold Coast in Movie world and my mum and I were standing in line for the SuperMan Escape rollercoaster. The actual ‘compartments’ were split into eight. Just as I thought we were about to miss this ride, the instructor told us to sit right at the front. I could feel the blood rush to my face and my eyes fill with water like a mini-man just poured a bucket of water into each of my eyes. I was so scared, I was nearly crying! When you take one glance at this roller coaster, all you see is the at least 40 metre, vertical rise and immediate drop.
The first thing they do is take you through a short scenario of the Superman story line and then the moment I’ve been waiting for or should I say dreading, arose. In a really cool American accent, the voice brakes through the odd silence and says “Let’s go fast, REAL fast!” And then we were off.
The whole ride catapults us all the way up the vertical rides at speeds of 0-100 km/hrs in 2 seconds ONLY!! It leaves you in suspence at the top and then once again, it drops at the same speed that it catapulted up in. It turned and twisted and went upside down and at one point, I was just a few inches off the ground from my face!
As soon as we came to a stop and the first thing my mum asked me was “Do you wanna go again?” I grinned and said, “Of course!!!”
