My life in one word… interesting. and not in a good or bad way, just interesting. I was born on the 30th of June 2007 on a cold afternoon and began my life. Now I can’t really tell you my whole 11 years of my life in fifteen minutes (test time) can I? so I’ll point out the ‘interesting bits’. My name is Yasmin John and I live in Melbourne, Doncaster East and I have a sis- no wait, that’s boring. So I’ll just wright about this bit…
I was so scared. As I walked up onto the stage/ entered leaping every where, I was sweating. It was the 50th annual concert of my dance school, Indian Classical Dancing. This dance was one of the most hardest ones i have ever done and it was called a ‘Thilanna’. It was to go on for a full 5 minutes. This may not seem like a long time but when you see the moves that we do, it looks and feels like it is on for a whole hour. Leaping, jumping, striking, it was exceedingly hard. I was mid way into the last ‘corvay’, a block or paragraph of the dance and then i felt a sharp pain on the side of my tummy. Oh no. I shouldn’t have eaten those three packets of chips before I went on stage. I eat when I am nervous. Doesn’t everyone?
I get severe stitches and I felt like collapsing. Then I taste the the salty vinegary bile come in my mouth. I had to dance my way off the stage. I couldn’t give up like that! I vomited in to a bucket on the side, cleared my mouth and go back onto stage. Or at least I thought I cleared it.
Amy, my friend who also danced strode off stage and looked at me in the most perplexed way, ” What is that on your face?”
OH NO!!!
I had vomit on my face and danced! 😦
